This law has delivered millions in federal funding to Lake Tahoe since it originally passed in 2000, supporting environmental protection and habitat restoration programs across the basin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cLake Tahoe is one of our state\u2019s natural treasures and an economic driver of Northern Nevada\u2019s tourism and local economy. We\u2019ve come a long way in protecting and preserving our beautiful lake and surrounding communities from the effects of climate change, and we must continue our conservation efforts,\u201d <strong>dijo el Senador Rosen.<\/strong> \u201cI\u2019m proud to help introduce the Lake Tahoe Restoration Reauthorization Act to make sure that future generations can enjoy Lake Tahoe.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Senator Rosen has been a strong advocate for federal funding to protect Lake Tahoe. She helped pass the bipartisan Water Resources Development Act of 2022 (WRDA), which would improve and invest in key water infrastructure systems throughout the country, including a Lake Tahoe Basin restoration and environmental infrastructure program.
