This application would request funds from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law\u2019s Airport Terminal Program, which Senator Rosen helped create, to improve the travel experience and help the region accommodate more annual visitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI write in strong support of the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority\u2019s (RTAA) proposed airport terminal expansion project, a multi-year development plan to upgrade and modernize key aspects of Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO) to meet growing demand,\u201d <strong>wrote Senator Rosen.<\/strong> \u201cThe Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, which I was proud to help write and pass, created the Airport Terminal Program, administered by the U.S. Department of Transportation\u2019s Federal Aviation Administration. I urge your Department to stand ready to receive RTAA\u2019s application for this program and give their application full and fair consideration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cMoreRNO, the largest expansion project in the airport\u2019s history, is critical for improving functional performance and operational efficiency, addressing a forecasted increase in passenger demand, addressing changing fleet mixes, and providing adequate passenger and airline space,\u201d <strong>Rosen continued.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe terminal expansion project will greatly improve the travel experience for our residents and visitors by adding additional modern capacity to our airline, concessions and ground transportation operations,\u201d <strong>said Daren Griffin, President and CEO of the Reno Tahoe Airport Authority<\/strong>. \u201cAlmost five million passengers experience the Reno-Tahoe International Airport every year with significant growth in the forecast.
