I urge the Senate majority to do what is right to and allow Dreamers to stay in the only place they\u2019ve ever called home.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><u><strong>BACKGROUND:<\/strong><\/u> In March, Senator Rosen co-sponsored the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/rosen-co-sponsors-secure-act-protect-tps-recipients\/\">Safe Environment from Countries Under Repression and in Emergency (SECURE) Act<\/a>, which would allow qualified Temporary Protected Status (TPS) and Deferred Enforced Departure (DED) recipients to apply for legal permanent residency.<\/p>\n<p>Last Congress, then-Congresswoman Rosen was an original co-sponsor of the bipartisan United and Securing America (USA) Act and the bipartisan DREAM Act, both of which would provide a path to legal permanent residency and eventual citizenship for Dreamers. Nevada is home to an estimated 13,000 DACA recipients.<\/p>\n<p>U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) is still accepting DACA renewal applications. Right now, DACA recipients who are eligible to apply for renewal can submit their DACA applications, and are encouraged to do so immediately. USCIS recommends 90 to 120 days to process renewal applications. Applicants are encouraged to visit USCIS\u2019 website <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uscis.gov\/i-821d\">here to apply<\/a>.
