The funding comes from the <em>Bipartisan Infrastructure Law<\/em>, which Senators Rosen and Cortez Masto helped pass, and will be used to improve or replace water pipes, tanks, and treatment plans. Funding will also be used to identify and replace lead service lines and protect communities from contaminants like Perfluoroalkyl&nbsp; and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) pollution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt is critical that all Nevadans have access to reliable and clean drinking water,\u201d <strong>dijo el Senador Rosen.<\/strong> \u201cThanks to historic investments I helped secure in the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, I\u2019m proud to announce Nevada will receive more than $63 million for our state government to update our water infrastructure and ensure our families have access to clean water.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEvery Nevadan deserves access to clean drinking water, which is why I\u2019ve fought to deliver these federal funds to make sure we upgrade our water pipes, tanks, and treatment plans,\u201d <strong>said Senator Cortez Masto.<\/strong> \u201cI\u2019m glad to see these resources coming to Nevada, and I\u2019ll continue working to help Nevadans stay healthy and protect our drinking water.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Senators Rosen and Cortez Masto have actively worked to improve and protect Nevada\u2019s water infrastructure from contaminants in efforts to ensure the state has safe, reliable access to clean drinking water. In 2021, they supported the passage of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, which includes a $55 billion investment in clean water initiatives, including over $23 billion for clean drinking water and wastewater infrastructure and $15 billion to address lead in drinking water.&nbsp; Earlier this year, Rosen and Cortez Masto joined Senate colleagues in a letter pushing the Biden Administration to prioritize efforts to combat PFAS contamination.
