At the same time, the Appeals Court overturned the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/2023\/04\/07\/texas-federal-judge-abortion-pills-ruling\">ruling<\/a> by a Federal District Court Judge in Texas to stay approval of the drug by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The appeals court ruling will remain in place until the full case on the FDA\u2019s approval of Mifepristone is decided on the merits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis anti-choice ruling is yet another step toward severely restricting women\u2019s access to reproductive care across our country,\u201d <strong>dijo el Senador Rosen.<\/strong> \u201cThese continued ideological attacks on reproductive freedom in the courts are not about science or safety; they are about banning abortion access nationwide. Women should have access to this FDA-approved medication, and I will keep fighting for legislation at the federal level protecting a woman\u2019s ability to make her own health care decisions.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Senator Rosen has been a leader in fighting for women\u2019s reproductive rights in the face of attacks by anti-choice politicians. Senator Rosen, who <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2023\/04\/07\/rosen-statement-condemning-court-decision-restricting-access-to-abortion-pill\/\">condemned the initial ruling attempting to ban Mifepristone<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2023\/04\/11\/rosen-joins-amicus-brief-urging-appeals-court-to-prevent-dangerous-ruling-threatening-access-to-mifepristone-from-taking-effect\/\">joined colleagues from the House and Senate<\/a> in an Amicus brief to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit urging it to halt the dangerous Texas decision on abortion medication from taking effect. Last month, Senator Rosen helped introduce the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2023\/03\/08\/rosen-cortez-masto-introduce-legislation-to-restore-and-protect-americans-right-to-an-abortion-nationwide\/\"> <em>Women\u2019s Health Protection Act<\/em><\/a> to enshrine <em>Roe v. Wade<\/em> in federal law and protect millions of women\u2019s access to reproductive health care.
