This declaration will provide Nevada with federal resources to help residents, property, local businesses, tribal communities, and public infrastructure recover from unprecedented flooding across the state. The storms resulted in devastating damage across Nevada, causing widespread flooding, rockslides, and landslides that have threatened communities and contributed to more than $10 million in damages to public infrastructure.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe damage caused by severe winter storms and flooding across large parts of Nevada requires swift federal action to help the affected communities, which is why I urged the President to grant Governor Lombardo\u2019s request to issue a disaster declaration,\u201d <strong>dijo el Senador Rosen.<\/strong> \u201cI\u2019m glad to announce the Administration has quickly approved this request, and I will continue working with both the state government and the Nevada congressional delegation to see that our state gets the resources it needs.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cNevada has already suffered over $10 million in damages from this year\u2019s extreme winter, and I\u2019m glad the President heeded my call to issue a major disaster declaration for the state,\u201d <strong>said Senator Cortez Masto.<\/strong> \u201cThis will deliver vital funding and support for our rural communities, and I\u2019ll keep working to support Nevada as it recovers.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI want to thank President Biden for swiftly approving the disaster declaration for Nevadans affected by the severe winter storms.
