The introduction of the bill comes after Senators Rosen and Cortez Masto joined their colleagues in sending a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2023\/03\/27\/rosen-colleagues-send-letter-urging-pentagon-to-provide-travel-leave-for-servicemembers-seeking-reproductive-care\/\">letter<\/a> to Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin underscoring the need to provide servicemembers and their families travel support and paid leave to access reproductive health care services in pro-choice states.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur servicemembers are stationed all across the United States, including in anti-choice states where their rights to access reproductive care is restricted\u201d <strong>dijo el Senador Rosen.<\/strong> \u201cThis legislation that I\u2019m helping introduce would ensure that our military\u2019s right to access reproductive care is protected regardless of where they serve.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAs far-right extremists continue their attack on a woman\u2019s right to choose, including the reproductive rights of those serving in our military\u2014I\u2019m working to ensure our service members have access to the health care they need,\u201d <strong>said Senator Cortez Masto<\/strong>. \u201cOur legislation will make sure our service members and their families can access reproductive health care wherever they are stationed. I won\u2019t stop fighting to protect abortion rights in Nevada and across our country.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Senators Rosen and Cortez Masto continue to lead the fight for women\u2019s reproductive rights as states across the country take alarming steps to restrict access to care. Last month, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2023\/04\/19\/video-in-floor-speech-rosen-denounces-anti-choice-efforts-to-restrict-abortion-access-for-veterans\/#:~:text=Last%20year%2C%20Rosen%20joined%20her,their%20local%20VA%20health%20provider.\">in speeches<\/a> on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cortezmasto.senate.gov\/news\/press-releases\/on-senate-floor-cortez-masto-rails-against-extremists-attempt-to-strip-veterans-of-reproductive-freedom\">Senate floor<\/a>, Senators Rosen and Cortez Masto successfully called on their colleagues to protect access to abortion care for veterans and their eligible dependents. They also helped introduce the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2023\/03\/08\/rosen-cortez-masto-introduce-legislation-to-restore-and-protect-americans-right-to-an-abortion-nationwide\/\"><em>Women\u2019s Health Protection Act<\/em><\/a> to enshrine <em>Roe v. Wade<\/em> in federal law and protect millions of women\u2019s access to reproductive health care.
