Nevada is home to over 6,000 TPS recipients, most of whom are from El Salvador or Honduras. Senator Rosen recently <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2023\/04\/23\/rosen-colleagues-call-for-temporary-protected-status-redesignation-for-el-salvador-and-honduras\/\">sent a letter<\/a> calling on the Biden Administration to continue protecting displaced Salvadorans and Hondurans by redesignating El Salvador and Honduras for Temporary Protected Status.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cNevada is home to thousands of TPS recipients who came to the U.S. for a better future after fleeing violence and natural disasters,\u201d <strong>dijo el Senador Rosen.<\/strong> \u201cIn Nevada, these hardworking TPS recipients contribute to our economy, workforce, and communities. This legislation I helped introduce will help give them the peace of mind they deserve so they can continue to contribute to our state.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last year, Senator Rosen <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2022\/11\/17\/rosen-joins-call-for-immediate-action-to-protect-daca-recipients-urges-legislative-solution-this-year\/\">joined Senate Democrats\u2019 call<\/a> for immediate, bipartisan action to pass permanent protections for DACA recipients.
