They represent some of our nation\u2019s brightest, and I will continue to stand with them by supporting ongoing efforts in Congress to reach an immediate and permanent bipartisan solution to protect our Dreamers. It is past time for the Senate to take action and bring the House-passed Dream and Promise Act to the floor for a vote.\u201d<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n<u><strong>BACKGROUND:<\/strong><\/u> Nevada is home to an estimated 13,000 DACA recipients. Earlier this year, Rosen co-sponsored the <a href=\"https:\/\/urldefense.com\/v3\/__https:\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/rosen-co-sponsors-legislation-safeguard-dreamers-private-information__;!c3kmrbLBmhXtig!-v6II8Ri8W6_xGBBWuMClSACKJ_SVDbSocq-QgUrh-YdDUajjG3hijrll86O12Wl$\">Protect Dreamer Confidentiality Act of 2019<\/a> (S. 197), which would safeguard the private information \u2014 such as addresses and telephone numbers \u2014 of DACA applicants to ensure that they are not targeted for deportation. Last Congress, Rosen supported the House companion bill. Also in the House, Rosen was an original co-sponsor of the bipartisan United and Securing America (USA) Act and the bipartisan DREAM Act, both of which would provide a path to permanent legal residency and eventual citizenship for Dreamers. &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>For anyone who has been granted DACA at least once, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) is still accepting DACA renewal applications. Right now, DACA recipients who are eligible to apply for renewal can submit their DACA applications, and are encouraged to do so immediately. USCIS recommends 90 to 120 days to process renewal applications. Applicants are encouraged to visit USCIS\u2019 website <a href=\"https:\/\/urldefense.com\/v3\/__https:\/www.uscis.gov\/archive\/renew-your-daca__;!c3kmrbLBmhXtig!-v6II8Ri8W6_xGBBWuMClSACKJ_SVDbSocq-QgUrh-YdDUajjG3hijrllyRwrefz$\">aqu\u00ed<\/a> to apply.
