The RTC of Washoe County was awarded $25 million to reconstruct 3.7 miles of roadway to improve safety and efficiency at Lemmon Drive. The RTC of Southern Nevada was awarded $5.8 million to fund the planning and development of a 17-mile high-capacity transit line along Charleston Boulevard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cMaking sure that Nevadans have safe, accessible, and reliable roads is crucial for our communities and local economy,\u201d <strong>dijo el Senador Rosen.<\/strong> \u201cThe millions in new funding we are announcing today from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law will improve transportation infrastructure for communities in both northern and southern Nevada, helping bring in more visitors and strengthening these local economies.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cNevadans deserve a safe and reliable transportation network, and this federal funding I fought for will improve our roads and make it easier for Nevada families to get to work and school,\u201d <strong>said Senator Cortez Masto.<\/strong> \u201cI\u2019ll always work to deliver the funding Nevada needs to improve our transportation options and keep our communities safe.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Senators Rosen and Cortez Masto have been working tirelessly to ensure Nevada gets its fair share of federal infrastructure money. Since the passage of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, Senators Rosen and Cortez Masto have helped secure more than <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2022\/11\/15\/on-first-anniversary-of-bipartisan-infrastructure-law-rosen-highlights-infrastructure-investments-for-nevada\/\">$1.7 billion<\/a> in funding to support over 70 different projects in Nevada.
