By providing Northern Nevada counties with access to the support and resources they need, we can attract new businesses that create jobs while also protecting the many beautiful public lands that help keep Nevada\u2019s outdoor economy booming,\u201d <strong>dijo el Senador Rosen.<\/strong> \u201cI\u2019m proud to see a range of Nevada stakeholders &#8211; including members of our business community, environmental advocates, and tribal communities &#8211; work together to find consensus on this legislation. I will continue to support policies that balance the need for the protection of our public lands with the need for economic growth and development in Nevada\u2019s communities.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><u><strong>BACKGROUND:<\/strong><\/u> The Douglas County Economic Development and Conservation Act would convey federal land to the County for flood control management areas, water infrastructure, parks, trails, public recreation enhancement, and other public uses.
