The summit brought together local, state, federal, and private entities from Nevada and California with the shared goal of preserving Lake Tahoe under this year\u2019s theme, \u201cProtecting Lake Tahoe: Sustainability and Stewardship in the Face of Climate Crisis.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cLake Tahoe is a critical part of our region\u2019s environment and our state\u2019s economic success,\u201d <strong>dijo el Senador Rosen.<\/strong> \u201cWith the heightened effects of the climate crisis impacting Lake Tahoe, it\u2019s critical that we keep working to protect this natural wonder now more than ever. I was glad to be a part of this important discussion, and I remain committed to taking bipartisan action to preserve this magnificent national treasure.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Senator Rosen has been a champion for federal funding that protects Lake Tahoe. Earlier this year, Senator Rosen joined Senator Catherine Cortez Masto (D-NV) and the Nevada Congressional delegation in introducing the bipartisan, bicameral legislation to reauthorize the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2023\/03\/01\/rosen-helps-introduce-bipartisan-bicameral-bill-to-reauthorize-lake-tahoe-restoration-act\/\"><em>Lake Tahoe Restoration Act<\/em><\/a> to fund environmental protection efforts and habitat restoration programs. Senator Rosen also helped secure hundreds of millions of dollars to support climate action in Nevada and $4 billion to combat drought in Western states through the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2022\/08\/07\/rosen-votes-to-pass-inflation-reduction-act\/#:~:text=WASHINGTON%2C%20DC%20%E2%80%93%20Today%2C%20U.S.,for%20Nevada%20and%20the%20West.\"><em>Inflation Reduction Act<\/em><\/a>.
