Rosen Statement on Women’s History Month

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV) released the following statement commemorating the start of Women’s History Month.

“Each day, women in America and across the globe make countless contributions to all facets of our society including the arts, athletics, business, entertainment, math, military service, politics, science, and technology. As we spend this month celebrating the many accomplishments that women have made, let us remember the struggle we have faced to get where we are today while also recognizing that through determination we can build a brighter future for our daughters and granddaughters. We must continue in the footsteps of the trailblazing women before us in continuing to fight for equal pay, equal representation, equal rights, and a voice at the table. I will keep working tirelessly in Congress on legislation that will benefit women such as expanded access to STEM education for young girls, protecting coverage for pre-existing conditions, and increased support for women-owned small businesses.”
