Rosen Holds Virtual Call with Members of Nevada Rural Chambers of Commerce and Development Authorities, Discusses Legislative Action, Resources Available to Small Businesses

LAS VEGAS, NV – U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV), a member of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, answered questions from leaders of rural community Chambers of Commerce and Economic Development Authorities, and provided an update on the federal government’s COVID-19 response. The Senator also shared the legislative actions she has taken in Congress to help protect Nevada’s economy and the well-being of Nevada workers and business owners, including her successful effort to expand the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) to gaming small businesses.

 

“The COVID-19 pandemic is having a devastating effect on Nevada’s small business community. During this time of crisis, I am partnering with Chambers of Commerce throughout the state in support of our small businesses to provide updates and answer questions on the U.S. Small Business Administration’s COVID-19 relief programs,”dijo el Senador Rosen. “My team and I have helped more than 400 of our small businesses in Nevada navigate the resources available to them. As Congress continues to work on additional coronavirus relief, I will continue to make sure the voices of Nevada’s small business community are fully heard.”

 

BACKGROUND: Senator Rosen has been partnering with local Chambers of Commerce in Nevada to provide updates on the federal government’s response to the COVID-19 crisis.

 

Senator Rosen was recently appointed to serve on the President’s bipartisan Opening Up America Again Congressional Group.

 

Senator Rosen’s office is working around-the-clock to ensure Nevadans stay up to date on the latest news regarding the coronavirus, as well as provide a list of resources to assist Nevadans.

 

Senator Rosen’s website includes an online resource portal to assist small businesses in Nevada affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Small businesses that are experiencing difficulties navigating federal assistance can also send their inquiries and questions to SmallBusiness@Rosen.Senate.gov, and a team of dedicated professionals will respond to provide assistance.
