Rosen-Backed Bipartisan Clean Energy Week Resolution Passes Senate

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV), a member of the bipartisan Senate Climate Solutions Caucus, announced that (S.Res.705), a bipartisan resolution she co-sponsored, recognizing the week of September 21 through September 25, 2020 as “National Clean Energy Week” has passed the Senate:

“Clean energy development is the key toward environmental and economic success,” dijo el Senador Rosen. “By investing in clean and renewable energy initiatives, we are taking active steps toward creating a healthier environment and a greener economy. I will continue working in Congress to support clean energy efforts in Nevada and across our nation.”

BACKGROUND: Specifically, the bipartisan resolution recognizes innovative clean energy solutions and jobs as part of the energy future of the United States.

Senator Rosen is the co-sponsor of a number of clean energy bills, including: the bipartisan Public Land Renewable Energy Development Act of 2019 (S. 2666), the Renewable Electricity Standard (RES) Act of 2019 (S. 1974), the Electric Transportation Commission and National Strategy Act (S. 2040), the Clean Fuel Infrastructure Act (S. 2038), the Green Spaces, Green Vehicles Act (S. 2041), the Greener Transportation for Communities Act (S. 2039), the Renewable Energy Extension Act (S. 2289), and the Electric CARS Act of 2019 (S. 993).
