Rosen Recognizes Jewish American Heritage Month

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV), co-chair and founder of the Senate Bipartisan Task Force for Combating Anti-Semitism, released the following statement in recognition of Jewish American Heritage Month:

“Each May, we recognize, celebrate, and honor the contributions of Jewish Americans,” dijo el Senador Rosen. “During this time when anti-Semitism is on the rise, it is important that we lift up members of the Jewish American community, honor their achievements, and celebrate their immeasurable contributions to our great nation. As we celebrate and recognize the many voices of Jewish Americans, we must also take this time to unite in the fight against the rising tide of anti-Semitism, bigotry, and hate. Together, we can ensure that the United States remains a nation where Jewish Americans are safe and treated with respect.”

BACKGROUND: Senator Rosen holds the distinction of being the third female Jewish Senator in U.S. history, as well as the first former synagogue president to serve in the United States Senate. As such, Senator Rosen has been an outspoken advocate of combating anti-Semitism in the United States, the Middle East, Europe, and around the world.

In 2019, Senator Rosen and Senator James Lankford (R-OK) launched the Senate Bipartisan Task Force for Combating Anti-Semitism.
