Rosen aplaude la inversión de $56 millones para avanzar en la fabricación solar nacional y reducir los costos de energía

Senator Rosen Has Been A Leader In The Fight to Protect American Solar Jobs And Bolster Domestic Solar Manufacturing

WASHINGTON DC – Today, U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV) applauded news from the U.S. Department of Energy that the Biden Administration will invest $56 million to boost domestic solar manufacturing and help lower energy costs for families. This funding includes $10 million from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, which Senator Rosen helped write and pass.

“Throughout my time in Congress, I’ve been proud to lead the fight to protect and bolster Nevada’s solar industry and the good-paying jobs it creates,” dijo el Senador Rosen. “This investment – which includes funding from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law that I helped write – is a critical step in the right direction to boosting domestic solar production, creating American jobs, and lowering energy costs for families.”

Senator Rosen has been leading the fight to support American solar energy, protect solar jobs, and boost domestic solar manufacturing. In June, following Senator Rosen’s efforts, the Biden Administration announced a two-year suspension of solar tariffs that could have killed American jobs and increased solar costs, in addition to a new plan to use the Defense Production Act to boost domestic solar manufacturing. Senator Rosen has also introduced the bipartisan Protecting American Solar Jobs and Lowering Costs Act with Senator Jerry Moran (R-KS) to repeal certain tariffs on solar panels and create a new program through the Department of Energy to increase domestic manufacturing of solar panels.
