Rosen Statement Celebrating National Police Week

WASHINGTON DC – Today, U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV) released the following statement in honor of National Police Week.

“Our law enforcement officers put their lives on the line to keep Nevadans safe – often going above and beyond to build trust and foster relationships in our communities,” dijo el Senador Rosen. “Today and always, we thank the police officers who work tirelessly to maintain law and order in Nevada, and we honor those who have lost their lives in the line of duty. In the Senate, I’ve always worked across party lines to deliver the federal resources our police departments need to continue doing their jobs safely and effectively – and I’ll always stand with law enforcement.”

Senator Rosen has consistently worked across party lines to support Nevada’s law enforcement officers. As part of a bipartisan funding bill for Fiscal Year 2026, Senator Rosen secured millions of dollars in federal funding to support police departments across Nevada. Earlier this year, a bipartisan bill she supported to expand access to federal support for the families of firefighters, law enforcement officers was signed into law. Senator Rosen also helped introduce legislation to redirect excess funding from Immigration and Customs Enforcement to invest it in Nevada’s local law enforcement programs, and help hire and train 200,000 local cops in communities across the U.S.
