LAS VEGAS, NV – Today, U.S. Senators Jacky Rosen (D-NV) and Catherine Cortez Masto (D-NV) announced $2,432,220 in funding for Northern Nevada’s Marble Bluff Dam on Pyramid Lake and the Truckee River to help Nevada communities and Tribes improve water storage and build drought resiliency. These funds were allocated through the Department of Interior’s Bureau of Reclamation thanks to the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law that both Senators Rosen and Cortez Masto passed into law to upgrade our water delivery systems.
“As our state continues to face extreme drought, it is critical that we keep taking steps to protect Nevada’s water infrastructure,” dijo el Senador Rosen. “I’m proud to have helped secure this funding to ensure communities along the Truckee River and Tribes in Nevada have access to reliable, clean water.”

Senators Rosen and Cortez Masto have been leaders in the Senate working to combat drought. Cortez Masto fought to deliver $4 billion to combat drought in the states bordering the Colorado River in the Inflation Reduction Act that both her and Senator Rosen helped pass. Both Senators Rosen and Cortez Masto helped pass the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, which will continue to make a historic amount of funding available for water and wastewater infrastructure improvements across the country over the next five years.
