WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV) released the following statement commemorating Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, which falls on Monday, January 21st.
“Today we pause to remember the incredible life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.,” said Senator Rosen. “Dr. King fought for equal treatment and justice for all and his legacy still lives on. We best honor Dr. King’s life’s work by standing up against bigotry, racial discrimination, and inequalities in our society. Let’s remember that the fight for our core American values continues and that we all have a moral obligation to stand up and speak out whenever our communities are confronted with injustice.”
