Rosen Named 2018 Champion for Children

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV) released the following statement upon news of being awarded with the Champion for Children Award by the First Focus Campaign for Children (FFCC). Senator Rosen received this award for consistently pursuing policies and legislation that make children a priority.

“When we support our children, we’re supporting our nation’s future,” said Senator Rosen. “Whether it’s fighting for better access to health care, improved pediatric mental health treatment, funding for youth foster programs, working to build out STEM education, or opposing immigration policies that separate children from their families, I will continue to Champion policies that improve children’s lives by standing up and being a voice for them in Congress.

BACKGROUND: Senator Rosen was one of only 60 lawmakers to be awarded this honor for her work in Congress in 2018. Senator Rosen was also awarded the Champion for Children Award in 2017.
