Rosen Receives “A” Rating From Campaign Finance Reform Organization

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV) released the following statement in response to news that she received an “A” rating from the campaign finance reform organization End Citizens United Action Fund.
“I’m proud of my record of protecting and defending our democracy, and I’ll continue to do all that I can to stand up for transparency,” said Senator Rosen. “That means supporting election security, shedding light on dark money organizations, and working to reduce big money influence in politics. In order to create positive change for the people of Nevada, we must ensure that our democracy is healthy, transparent, and strong.”
BACKGROUND: Senator Rosen is a co-sponsor of S. 561, the Voting Rights Advancement Act of 2019, legislation which would restore protections against voter suppression that the Supreme Court struck down in Shelby County v. Holder in 2013. Senator Rosen is also a co-sponsor of the For The People Act (S.  949), legislation to expand and protect voting rights, reduce the influence of money in politics, and strengthen ethics rules for government employees. Senator Rosen also co-sponsored the DISCLOSE ACT (S. 1147), legislation that would require corporations, labor organizations, and Super PACs to disclose their donors and report all major donations and expenditures.
