LAS VEGAS, NV – Today, U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV) announced that the application process for Nevada students seeking U.S. Service Academy nominations is now open. The four service academies that require congressional nominations are: the U.S. Air Force Academy, the U.S. Naval Academy, the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, and the U.S. Military Academy.
“One of my highest honors as a Member of Congress is the opportunity to nominate young Nevadans to attend one of our prestigious U.S. Service Academies,” said Senator Rosen. “This is a great opportunity for brave young men and women to serve our country while obtaining a first class education and continuing to serve upon graduation as commissioned officers in the United States Military. I invite all interested students to apply.”
BACKGROUND: U.S. Service Academies are federal institutions that prepare cadets and midshipmen to become officers in the U.S. Armed Forces, while concurrently earning their bachelor’s degrees.
