Rosen Votes to Confirm Katherine Tai as United States Trade Representative

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV), Chair of the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation’s Subcommittee on Tourism, Trade, and Export Promotion, released the following statement after voting to confirm the historic nomination of Katherine Tai as United States Trade Representative (USTR):

“Today, I was proud to vote for the historic confirmation of Katherine Tai as the United States Trade Representative,” said Senator Rosen.Katherine Tai is a proven trailblazer with a successful bipartisan track record as the former Chief Trade Counsel for the Ways and Means Committee in the U.S. House of Representatives. As an expert in trade, Tai is prepared to help boost the country’s economy and solidify international relationships through trade – and as the first woman of color to lead this agency, she will bring a unique perspective to the role. As Chair of the Subcommittee on Tourism, Trade and Export Promotion, I look forward to working with U.S. Trade Representative Tai to strengthen our trade agreements, protect workers, increase exports, and help grow Nevada’s economy.”
