Rosen Statement to Mark One Year Since Supreme Court Overturned Roe v. Wade

WASHINGTON, DC – Ahead of the one-year mark since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV) released the following statement.

“In the year since the Supreme Court took away women’s right to make choices about their own bodies, the attacks on reproductive freedoms have been relentless,” said Senator Rosen. “Extreme Republicans in Congress won’t stop until they ban abortion nationally, including in pro-choice states like Nevada. I will continue to fight back against every attempt to restrict the rights of Nevada women and will work to restore women’s reproductive rights and protect women’s health and freedom.”

Senator Rosen has been a leader in the fight to protect Nevada women’s reproductive rights. Senator Rosen helped introduce the Women’s Health Protection Act to enshrine Roe v. Wade in federal law. Senator Rosen also helped introduce the Freedom to Travel for Health Care Act, which would block anti-choice states from limiting travel for abortion service. She also helped introduce the Let Doctors Provide Reproductive Health Care Act to protect doctors and other health care professionals from being prosecuted for providing reproductive care to their patients.
