WASHINGTON, DC – Last night, U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen joined MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell to discuss the impact of Trump’s reckless tariffs on hardworking Nevada families and Las Vegas tourism.

Excerpt From the Interview:

Senator Rosen: I’m the former chair of the Senate Committee on Commerce for Tourism, Trade, and Export Promotion. Tourism and trade—the top economic drivers in every state in this nation. And when you put on those reckless tariffs—as you’ve rightly said—they are a national sales tax. Everybody pays for them. Most of all, hardworking families. Look, the billionaire buddies in his cabinet, they don’t care. They’ll pay anything; they have plenty of money.

Senator Rosen has helped lead the fight to push back against Trump’s reckless tariffs. She signed on to an amicus brief challenging them in court. She also helped introduce the Tariff Transparency Act, which would require the U.S. International Trade Commission to study and publicly report on the economic effects of tariffs on Canada and Mexico– key trading partners for Nevada industries. Senator Rosen also helped pass a bipartisan resolution to strike down Trump’s tariffs on Canada earlier this year, which is awaiting action in the House of Representatives.
