During Day Two of Statewide Virtual Tour, Rosen Meets with Reno Rotary Club, Highlights Development Project in Reno’s MidTown District, Discusses Brownfields Initiative in Pershing, Outdoor Recreation in Lander

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, as part of her statewide virtual tour, U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV) participated in a series of events, including: a meeting with the Rotary Club of Reno to discuss economic development in Northern Nevada, a discussion on Reno’s recent MidTown District transportation project, a meeting on the EPA’s Brownfields project in Pershing County, and a discussion on outdoor recreation in Lander County.

“As we work to address the impact of coronavirus on Nevada, it is important that we also continue to support opportunities for economic development in the state,” said Senator Rosen. “During today’s events I had the chance to hear about how small businesses are adapting to get through the pandemic, how a local community is supporting themselves with a major infrastructure and transportation project, and how our communities are working to create a cleaner Nevada as well as support our outdoor recreation economy. I will continue to work in Congress to uplift Nevada communities during this pandemic, and help lay the groundwork for growth in the future.”
