WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV) released the following statement in commemoration of Purple Heart Day, honoring those who have served in the military and, through their sacrifice, have been awarded the Purple Heart.
“The members of our armed forces who have borne the wounds of battle and been awarded a Purple Heart have made immeasurable sacrifices in defense of our nation and its freedoms,” said Senator Rosen. “Today, and each day, we honor the brave men and women who have served and sacrificed, and we pledge to ensure that they are cared for when they return home. I will continue to pursue legislation that puts our veterans first, and respects their countless sacrifices.”
