WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV) released the following statement in commemoration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, which this year falls on Monday January 20th.

“Today, we take time to remember the incredible life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.,” said Senator Rosen.“Dr. King fought for equal treatment and justice for all, and we can best honor his legacy by confronting bigotry, racial discrimination, and inequality wherever it may be. We all have a moral obligation to stand up and speak out because, as Dr. King once wrote, ‘injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.’ ”
