Rosen Wraps Up Successful Listening Tour Across Northern Nevada

WASHINGTON, D.C. — This week, U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV) held a listening tour across northern Nevada, hearing directly from Nevadans on issues ranging from economic development, access to broadband and health services including telemedicine, and land management and conservation efforts. Senator Rosen formally announced her listening tour while addressing the Nevada Legislature at its 80th joint session in Carson City. Over four days, Rosen traveled roughly 650 miles across nine counties, making stops in Ely, Elko, Fallon, Fernley, Lovelock, West Wendover, and Winnemucca.

“This past week I had the chance to meet with educators, elected officials, environmental advocates, small business owners, and members of our state’s tribal communities on a number of important issues that affect various communities across northern Nevada,” said Senator Rosen. “I heard from Nevadans on a range of issues that impact their lives, including expanding rural broadband access and telemedicine programs, protecting our state’s public lands, and improving growth for our small business communities. The most important part of my job is listening to the stories of my constituents so that I can take their voices with me to Washington. I will work every day to find commonsense solutions to the pressing issues facing Nevadans across our state.”
