Rosen Joins SBA Webinar to Discuss Resources for Nevada AAPI Small Business Owners and Entrepreneurs

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV), a member of the Senate Small Business and Entrepreneurship Committee, spoke at a virtual U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) COVID-19 Road to Recovery for AAPI Entrepreneurs webinar to discuss federal resources available to small business owners and entrepreneurs in Nevada’s Asian community. Senator Rosen was hosted by SBA Nevada District Director Joe Amato.

“The COVID-19 pandemic has created unique challenges for our state’s small business community and local entrepreneurs,” said Senator Rosen. “These challenges have been especially difficult for minority-owned businesses and entrepreneurs. I’m working alongside the SBA in order to ensure that Nevada’s AAPI community has access to the financial resources they need during this difficult period. As a member of the Senate Small Business Committee, I’m committed to supporting all of our state’s small businesses, and will continue working to ensure that none of Nevada’s small businesses and entrepreneurs are left out from federal relief.”

“The coronavirus pandemic has disproportionately affected small business owners and entrepreneurs,” said Nevada SBA District Director Joseph Amato. “The Small Business Administration has worked extensively with Senator Rosen and her staff to hold nearly a dozen meetings and webinars with local chambers of commerce and other small business groups to provide Nevada’s small business community with much-needed access to SBA resources and information. We look forward to our continued work with Senator Rosen to assist Nevada small businesses.”
