Rosen Speaks at “Lower Costs, Better Care” Bus Tour Stop in Las Vegas, Touts New Bipartisan Law

LAS VEGAS, NV  – Today, U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV), alongside Congresswomen Susie Lee (NV-03) and Dina Titus (NV-01) and Nevada health care advocates, spoke at the Protect Our Care “Lower Costs, Better Care” bus tour stop in Las Vegas to highlight provisions in the Inflation Reduction Act that will drive down prescription drug costs for seniors and extend health care cost support for families. Senator Rosen also highlighted her bipartisan, bicameral MOBILE Health Care Act with Congresswoman Lee, which was signed into law earlier this week and will help bring mobile health clinics to Nevada’s rural communities.

“For far too long, hardworking seniors have been forced to make the impossible choice between paying for their prescription medications or putting food on the table,” said Senator Rosen. “That is why I was proud to help pass the Inflation Reduction Act to lower the costs of prescription drugs for Nevada seniors and keep health care premiums low for families across Nevada.”

Senator Rosen has been a leading voice in advocating for increasing access to affordable health care. She helped secure a three-year extension for health insurance premium subsidies in the Inflation Reduction Act. Senator Rosen has also led the charge to increase access to health care in rural communities, including by addressing Nevada’s doctor shortage and reducing the financial burdens on medical students serving in their residencies.
