CARSON CITY, NV – Today, U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV) delivered an address to a joint session of the Nevada State Legislature to update state lawmakers on her extensive bipartisan achievements in the U.S. Senate, and the work she will continue to do on behalf of Nevadans. Senator Rosen highlighted laws she helped pass to bring good-paying jobs to Nevada and rebuild the state’s infrastructure, strengthen the tourism industry, and lower costs for families. She also outlined what she will continue to do to help lower prices, fight for small businesses, protect reproductive rights, improve access to health care, and support law enforcement across the state.
“In all, more than ninety percent of the legislation I introduced last Congress was bipartisan, and many of those bills were signed into law,” said Senator Rosen. “I am proud to have been recognized among the top ten most bipartisan Senators, and one of the top ten most effective Democrats in the Senate – getting things done by working across the aisle.”
“We’re still facing so many challenges, and I will keep working diligently in Washington to improve the lives of Nevadans,” Rosen continued. “Middle-class families across the state are feeling the effects of inflation at the gas pump, at the grocery store, and when paying their monthly rent. We must keep working to lower costs – whether it’s in housing, or health care, or higher education.”
Since arriving in Congress, Senator Rosen has worked across party lines to deliver for Nevada. She has been named one of the ten most bipartisan members of the Senate, and more than 90 percent of the legislation she introduced in the 117th Congress was bipartisan. As a result, she was named one of the top ten most effective Senate Democrats.
