Rosen, Colleagues Introduce Bill to Help Veterans Grow Their Families

WASHINGTON, DC – Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV) joined Senator Patty Murray (D-WA) and Senate colleagues in introducing the Veteran Families Health Services Act. The bill would ensure that servicemembers’ and veterans’ health care includes access to in vitro fertilization (IVF) and adoption assistance for servicemembers and veterans.

“Our servicemembers do selfless work to keep our families safe,” said Senator Rosen. “They deserve to have every resource available to start or grow their families. I’m proud to help introduce this bill to expand access to adoption services, IVF, and other fertility treatments for them and their families. I’ll always work to support the men and women who serve our nation in uniform.”

Senator Rosen has been actively working to ensure that Nevada’s veterans have the federal support they need. Last week, she introduced a bipartisan bill with Senator Moran to incentivize employers to hire student veterans for part-time work and paid internships. Senator Rosen has also secured funding to increase access to affordable housing for veterans, continue building Nevada’s first national veterans cemetery in Elko, and increase funding for veterans’ access to telehealth. Additionally, Senator Rosen helped pass bipartisan legislation to increase veterans’ awareness of the VA home loan program
