Like the overwhelming majority of Americans, I’ve been horrified by the overly aggressive behavior and violence committed by Trump’s ICE officers.
We need increased guardrails for ICE to stop these abuses of power, but Washington Republicans have shown they would rather shut down the ENTIRE Department of Homeland Security than rein in ICE’s out-of-control behavior.
It’s past time they come to the table and work with Democrats to make sure ICE is better trained and held accountable.
