Today marks 13 years since the massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School. Just yesterday, we mourned yet another school shooting at Brown University. Our students can’t continue to live like this and parents shouldn’t have to fear for their children’s lives when they send them to school.
My heart is with the victims of the shooting at Brown, the Sandy Hook families, and the loved ones of all those lost to senseless school shootings. We can and should take real, meaningful action to address gun violence and prevent these tragedies.
