As we approach the height of summer, Southern Nevadans will be seeing more triple-digit temperature days – which put our health and communities at risk. I’m working across party lines to protect our drinking water infrastructure during periods of extreme temperatures and ensure our state gets the resources it needs to keep people safe.

I always look forward to being back home to listen to Nevadans from every corner of our state.
In Vegas this week, I met with Nevada State University leadership to learn about their skills training programs – including speech-language pathology – that will prepare students to enter the workforce, and I toured the new state-of-the-art West Las Vegas Library!
I also was part of a roundtable with FWD.us and Dream Big Nevada to discuss how the Trump Admin’s cruel mass deportation agenda is targeting DACA recipients.
I’m bringing these stories back with me to the Senate to keep fighting for Nevadans in Washington.
