Today marks 13 years since the massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School. Just yesterday, we mourned yet another school shooting at Brown University. Our students can’t continue to live like this and parents shouldn’t have to fear for their children’s lives when they send them to school.

I’m horrified by the news of the brutal antisemitic attack in Sydney, Australia, targeting families celebrating the beginning of Hanukkah. My heart breaks for the loved ones of those killed, all those affected by this senseless violence, and the Jewish community around the world. Antisemitism is rising at an alarming rate and this is the tragic result.
