Glad to meet with my good friend Mayor Ed Lawson and discuss federal funding I helped secure for the City of Sparks to begin important water infrastructure upgrades.
We’re also looking forward to the Senate committee hearing on my Washoe County Lands Bill later this week. Advancing this legislation will help make more land in Sparks and Washoe County available for development while ensuring our outdoor spaces are protected for future generations.

No one can deny that ICE under this Administration is being overly aggressive, violating people's rights, and endangering the lives of U.S. citizens and law abiding immigrants. We cannot move forward without commonsense reforms.
Let me be absolutely clear to my Republican colleagues: I will NOT support additional funding for ICE – including in any resolution to extend current funding for any length – until guardrails are in place to rein in ICE's out-of-control actions. Any progress in negotiations would be welcome, but I need to see reforms actually attached to any ICE funding in order to give my vote.
