I’m glad Republicans have agreed to end their shutdown and finally get paychecks to the Dept. of Homeland Security employees who have been doing critical work without pay for nearly seven weeks.
Let’s be clear: House Republicans could have passed the Senate’s bipartisan bill to end the Republican shutdown of DHS nearly a week ago. Instead, Speaker Johnson chose to unnecessarily extend it.
