Yesterday I had the pleasure of welcoming Grady and his family to my Senate office all the way from Virginia City. Grady won the honor of lighting the U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree – which comes from Nevada for the very first time – with his essay about his love for Nevada’s beautiful public lands.

Grady has a very bright future ahead of him, and I’m excited to see him light up the tree tonight!

If Secretary Hegseth gave a directive to “kill everybody” on boats in the Caribbean, which led to a second strike that killed incapacitated survivors, he may have committed a war crime.

The American people deserve answers, and servicemembers deserve better than being put in a position to carry out potentially illegal orders. I’m encouraged to see my colleagues on both sides of the aisle calling for transparency, and as a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee I’ll keep pushing to get to the bottom of this.
