Every domestic violence survivor deserves to feel safe, supported, and empowered to rebuild their life. Last week, I met with directors of S.A.F.E. House in Henderson, a nonprofit providing emergency shelter, advocacy, counseling, housing assistance, and outreach and education for survivors of domestic violence and other vulnerable individuals.

I had the opportunity to walk through their shelter – which is in a confidential location to protect survivors and staff – and was impressed by the team’s commitment to providing a clean, safe refuge for women in need.
