Nevada has consistently prioritized water conservation and often uses less water than we are allocated, but the Trump Administration’s recently-released Colorado River framework could have devastating implications even though we’re prepared for the most immediate cuts. If this plan goes into effect, it could mean a further reduction in available water with catastrophic consequences for Nevada’s communities. I support the state of Nevada’s lawsuit to prevent this plan from going into effect, and I’ll continue working with federal, state, and local partners to fight back against these drastic proposed cuts.
