Rosen, Cortez Masto Applaud Over $200,000 USDA Rural Development Loan for Northern Nevada Community

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senators Jacky Rosen (D-NV) and Catherine Cortez Masto (D-NV) released the following statement announcing a $206,000 loan from the United States Department of Agriculture to be awarded to the Topaz Ranch Estates General Improvement District in Wellington, to be used for the purchase of a paving/snowplow truck to assist the community’s 750 residences with maintenance and repairs of area roads.

“We’re pleased to see federal agencies working to help support Nevada communities,” said the Senators. “This loan will benefit approximately 1,500 Nevadans and help northern Nevadans maintain road access during rough winter weather conditions, by making continuous improvements to the roads in the community. We will continue advocating for federal funding to improve the lives of Nevadans in every corner of our state.”
