Rosen and Nevada SBA Director Answer Questions from Nevada’s Small Business Community in Las Vegas Metro Chamber’s Webinar

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV), a member of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, partnered with U.S. Small Business Administration Nevada District Director Joseph Amato to answer questions from small business owners in a webinar with members of the Las Vegas Metro Chamber of Commerce. Senator Rosen and SBA Nevada Director Amato discussed the economic resources that are available to Nevada’s small business community during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Senator also shared the legislative actions she has taken in Congress to help protect Nevada’s economy and the well-being of Nevada workers and business owners.

“This is a time of great economic uncertainty, but I am confident that we will overcome this pandemic together, as one community and as a stronger Nevada,” said Senator Rosen. “My team and I are working around-the-clock to get Nevada’s business owners access to the resources they need to weather this storm. I stand ready to bring Nevada’s voice to the table as a member of the White House’s bipartisan congressional task force to re-open our economy. I will continue working in concert with our Governor, delegation, local business leaders, public health officials, as well as the SBA, to get Nevada’s economy back on track.”

BACKGROUND: This week, Senator Rosen was appointed to serve on a bipartisan White House task force, comprised of Senators and Members of the House of Representatives, with the purpose of providing counsel to the President on the re-opening of America in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
