LAS VEGAS, NV – U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV), a member of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, participated in a discussion with members of Las Vegas’ Latin Chamber of Commerce and U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Nevada District Director Joe Amato to provide an update on the federal government’s COVID-19 response, discuss her actions to support Nevada small businesses, and answer questions from Nevada small business owners.
“COVID-19 has affected countless business communities across our state, including Nevada’s Latino-owned small businesses,” said Senator Rosen. “I’m glad for this opportunity to speak with some of our state’s small business owners in order to discuss the work Congress is doing to provide economic relief, as well as to discuss the work I’m doing with our state and local governments to ensure a safe re-opening of the state. I will continue working to assist and provide relief to Nevada’s small business communities.”
BACKGROUND: Senator Rosen has previously partnered with Nevada's Small Business Administration regional representatives and local Chambers of Commerce, including the Las Vegas Metro Chamber of Commerce, the Reno-Sparks Chamber of Commerce, and the Las Vegas Asian Chamber of Commerce to provide updates on the federal government’s response to the COVID-19 crisis and answer any questions they may have on access to federal resources.
